"Yes, I'm okay... but any longer and I might not've been." Was the response of a once kind but now very hostile-sounding native. "What are you?" The other asked, with eyes wide in fear.
"I-I'm sorry... I don't mean to be like this. I'm... I'm an android... some jerk did this to me. Now if I touch people my hands just get a mind of their own, grab on, and won't let go! I've already killed two people by just touching them... this is why I said those things... you should've left me be... you should have left me to die."

"I have heard about such abominations..." One of the natives thought for a moment about it, before continuing... "You say this was done to you... against your will?"
Julia nods her head with a quiet... "Yes."
"Hmm..." Both the natives try thinking about this a bit more.

"Do you think it's possible to control these powers you have? Would you like to try?" The native was clearly no longer hostile, but his kindness was masked at this time... he was too uncertain...
"Uhm, if it's possible... I guess... but it's so hard... I just can't stop myself. The guy who did this to me said something went wrong when he screwed with my mind... apparently I was supposed to have my memories erased... but I guess he still out all the evil stuff he wanted in to my head... it's just somewhere where I can't control it..."

"Yeah...I suppose I owe you thanks for not letting that guy make my head a bit of target practice." Couric replied, continuing to stretch a bit, the Elder watching the teen.
"Do not worry about it. A child who got chased by a shark and wound up in this place by accident doesn't deserve to die over that trivial occurrence," He replied, glancing out the tent's 'doorway', eyes in the direction of a certain landmark that was just outside the small villagie.
"But then again, it may not be so trivial..."

After some more thought, the native speaks up... "I'm sorry to say this, but I feel you are too dangerous to be allowed to stay in our home. However... perhaps there is someone who can help you..."
Julia's head snaps up at the sound of this... her eyes light up (metaphorically >_>)... "You really think so?!"

"Eh?"
"Perhaps you were fated to arrive here like others have been over the many years my people have stayed in this land, guarding the pillar at the center of this forest..." Couric's brow raised in confusion.
/A pillar....?/ He thought, not remembering anything like that.

"Yes. If you have become this kind of abomination like you say... an android... there is no doubt you hold the potential for immeasurable power. I'm glad you held on to your true memories... I dread to think what sort of monster you would be if you had not..." This isn't cheering Julia up very much... but the native continues to something better... "Now, with this power of yours. I'd say there's a chance you could make it..."
Julia didn't understand... "Make what?" But the native was actually lost in thought.

"Just beyond the village borders is a pillar that extends into the sky, beyond even the clouds themselves. It may be fate that you wound up on this island, perhaps to climb the tower and meet the one who resides at the top." The elder explained, facing Couric once more.
"How could anyone live atop a pillar? That'd be...really difficult..."

"Truly a bit of a foolish child. At the peak of the pillar, some say that a home was built by the being who lives above, serving as his home for him to watch over the land from." He chuckled, ignoring the bit of annoyance showing in Couric's expression...which was then replaced with a bit of child-like wonder.
"So someone built a pillar that's so high it reaches beyond the clouds and still lives there? That really seems unbelievable...but then again...why else would someone build something like that so high?" He asked, not expecting an answer.

"There is a great tower near our village... known as Korin's Tower... it rises up to the heavens beyond the clouds... it is said that a great and wise master lives atop that tower... but only few have been able to climb the tower to meet him in person. I have no doubt that this master... Master Korin... could teach you to control your power."
Julia seems to think this is getting a little strange, but if there's any chance she could control her powers... she'll give it a try. "So... I have to climb this Korin Tower... and at the top I'll find a guy who'll show me how to control my power?" "Yes. I also understand that he is so skilled and so fast that he will have nothing to fear from your little power."

"Okay then... maybe I'll give it a try..." Julia declares.
"Good, but first, I must speak with the Elder about this. Please wait, and do not leave this tent." He leaves along with the other native who was silent all along.
Julia's now just sat there, waiting.

"Well, foolish child, if it is your fate to be here...then perhaps it is your fate to meet with Korin, the one who resides at the top. Of course, many who have tried to climb the pillar have failed and fallen to their deaths, but perhaps...you may be able to."
/This guy has a bit of an obsession with fate and the word perhaps.../ Couric noted, folding his arms behind his head. "Well, if it's my fate, then I might as well give it a shot." He smirked, practically radiating with confidence at that point.
"Well...I wish you good luck, child." The elder exited the tent, heading towards the one where Julia had been taken to.

On the way to Julia's tent, the Elder was stopped by the two natives from Julia's tent... they told him everything.
"Oh my... now I see. What has fate brought upon our kind village with this girl? But you say she wishes to control her powers? Hmm... This is most unusual, I shall speak with her."
And so Julia saw the Elder enter her tent... with a cautious expression on his face... she also noted how far away from her he was standing. This made her feel even more upset.

Heading out, Couric stepped into the sunlight, moving his hand up to cover his eyes a bit after being in the tent since he woke up. But that wasn't needed as a shadow blocked out the sun, causing the teen to look up to see just what the source of the massive shadow was. And he found himself staring directly at a massive pillar that seemed to stretch into space from the ground itself.
/How didn't I notice this before!?/ He asked himself mentally, obviously amazed.

The Elder started with a question... "So... you're going to climb Korin's Tower, girl?" "I guess..." "You guess? Do you feel you're not strong enough for the task?" "I... don't know... but this is all so strange to me..." "Hmm..." The Elder paused, and then continued... "Look, young girl, fate has brought you here in the same way that fate spared your true memories from being lost. You are a good person, in your heart, are you not?" "I am..." "And you wish to control these powers of yours that make you so dangerous?" "I do..." "Hmph... then perhaps this is how it was meant to be. I shall show you to Korin's Tower."

"Well....Guess that makes things easy. I thought I might have to look around a bit to find that thing." He chuckled, beginning to walk in the tower's direction, wondering just how hard it may be to actually scale the pillar and how long it would actually take him to make it to the top. /If it reaches into space, then I'm screwed..../ He noted.

The Elder told Julia to wait, though, and went out to fetch her something... he returned with a few clothes of earthen tones made in the style of the natives here. "You'll need to look more respectable when you meet Korin... those clothes you wear are torn and tattered... Once you are ready, just step outside this tent and look for a tower... you can't miss it... it'll go right up in to the sky. And... stay away from the villagers when you go towards it... please. I do not want an incident because of your powers." With this... he left...
"I hate being an android..." Julia sighed... and began to get dressed...
OOC: Deducting 35 zenie for good measure. XD

So, soon enough, Julia, now looking almost like a native here, made her way to the tower... as people seemed to clear out of her way. "I feel so loved..." She sighs.

Gozu wanders into Korin Camp he had smelled the smell of food being cooked over an open fire. He had wondered in the woods so long that he forgot to go back to his ship to see if any of his food had survived the crash. His stomach was really rumbling as he walked into the outskirts of the village.

Gozu sniffs the air as the scent of roasting somthing wafts through the air. Gozu walks over to the fire where women sit in a circle around the fire serving the men some of the meat. A kindly old lady looks up at him as he walks over. "Are you hungry young man?" Gozu nods his head. "Yes ma'am"

The old lady hands him a plate of the meat. "There you go stranger." "Do I owe you anything?" Gozu asks the old lady. "Not at all. We believe in hospitality here. It's on the house so to speak." Gozu bows respectfully and says his thanks again. He sits down on a log and devours his plate of meat.

After he finishes his plate of meat he walks back over to the old lady and gives him his dirty plate. "Thank you so much again. You've been very kind to me." "Thank nothing of it young man." Then seeing his tail wrapped around his waist "Are you with the others that were here earlier today?"

Gozu frowns and shakes his head. "The other's?" "Yes a young boy he had a tail just like that around his waist." Must be the boy from last night Gozu thinks. "And a young woman with brown hair. She almost killed one of our warriors with a touch."

Gozu's eyes widen as with that last part. "Y-Yes I am with them. I was just running late. Did you happen to catch which way they went?" The old lady nods and points her finger towards a massive tower that Gozu had seen from the woods. "They went towards Korin's tower."

"Oh my gosh thank you so much." Gozu says rapidly and then with wave goodbye Gozu rushes off towards the base of the tower. I can't believe my luck. I actually found her again. And she's with a Saiyan that's good. At least he should be a trained fighter. Gozu takes one last leap as he skids to a stop at the base of the tower.

After walking for some time, Shiro and Ava managed to reach a small village at the base of the structure they had seen earlier. Shiro was breathing a bit heavy again by this point. "I think this would be a good place to rest for a moment."

Ava looks on at the village, nodding to Shiro, and helping him sit down as gently as she could, sitting herself next to him.....
"Yeah, we should take a breather for a moment.... Hmm.... I wonder what this place is....? Wow....!"
Looking up the huge tower as far as she could, she gasps in awe....
"I wonder what's way up there.....? Is it just a huge pole....?"

As Shiro shrugged, one of the villagers walked over to them. The woman was wearing leather clothing with strips hanging from the sleeves and had her hair in a bun. She was shaking her head when she reached them, saying, "So another couple of fighters have come to climb Korin's Tower. He's gotten rather popular lately."

Ava looks over to the woman as she approaches Shiro and her, a look of confusion on her face....
"Who....? Korin....? I'm sorry miss, but I don't know anything about this Korin person.... Does he live atop that tower?"

Shiro frowned when he heard the name, whispering, "I know that name from somewhere."
The woman simply smiles at Ava. "Yes he does, miss. He's a powerful martial artist and a teacher to many fighters. Why, he even taught the great Master Roshi once long ago."
