You get free posts every time you fight someone.
Just post a thread for your character the first time you wish to apply for a boost, and put a new reply in it each time you want another boost. Don't go making a new topic for each battle, because they might just get deleted so you'll get nothing. It keeps clutter down this way.
The way it works is simple...
The number of battle posts your character made is counted.
It's multiplied by a number depending on the outcome, and that number is what you win.
You don't need to know how it works, to be honest... because it'll all be handled for you. But if you want to work it out... here's the system!
Weighted Clothing
You add 1 to the multiplier if you're wearing the correct weighted clothing for your star level.
All values are totals, so you can wear numerous heavy items to add up to the necessary weights.
1 10kg
2 100kg
3 200kg
4 300kg
etcetera
11 1t (1000kg)
12 10t
13 100t
etcetera
You can be off the mark by no more than 1.
If you're wearing weights that are 2s or more too light, you gain no bonus (on the other hand, you don't lose 20% either - see below).
If you're wearing weights that are 2s or more too heavy, you'll barely be able to move, and gain no bonus because you're doing yourself more harm than good.
Warning!
Weighted clothing reduces your transformation modifier by 20%!
So Base 100%, for example, would become 80%.
If you have to take off your weights during a fight, you don't gain any bonus!
For Advanced Players: Transformed Super-Weight Training
If you're willing to take a gamble, you can wear heavier weights than those listed above, after you've unlocked the major transformation at 11'000 posts.
You will still need to be at the required star levels, but you can't go over or under like before.
If you have one star more than required for your super-weight set, then it counts as just regular weighted clothing from the level below, so you get the same -20% and +1 effects.
If you have one star less than required, then you will be OVERWEIGHTED and completely unable to do anything unless you remove the weights.
Here are the star levels and their respective 'super-weights'...
11 50t - 11'000 post transformation
12 500t - 12'000 post transformation
13 5kt - 13'000 post transformation
etcetera
Fighting With Super-Weights
You suffer a -30% drop while wearing super-weights, and will be unable to fight at all unless you transform in to the highest major transformation of the weight level's post count, whether you've unlocked it or not (so if you're a saiyan with 11'100 posts and wearing 5t, you will NEED to be in Super Saiyan or better to be able to fight).
Note: Mystic/Majin characters should add 500 to each of the post counts listed above and all those beyond in etcetera.
Super-Weight Boosts
You get +2 instead of +1, but this can only be awarded if you get a 'Victory' or beyond on the boost scale.
So 'Unfinished', 'Defeated', and 'Stalemate' will give you +0 (not even a +1 like for normal weights).
It's a big gamble, so make sure it's worth it.
Mystic/Majin Weights
Since all the major transformations are shifted 500 posts later, I've decided that for both regular and super weighted training, you should consider your star level as one lower for the first 500 posts in any 1000.
So at 13'000 posts, you have 13s, but you should only count 12 of them until 13'500, where you can count all 13.
Multiple Opponents
You get a boost based on each opponent you fought.
So if you fought for 10 turns against 2 opponents, then walked away, you'd get 2x10=20 free posts.
If you fought for 20 turns against 3 opponents, and kicked both their butts, you'd win 3x50=150 posts!
Ally Modifications
However, if you had assistance, your reward is lessened to make allowances for lowered difficulty.
So if you fought for 10 turns against 2 opponents, and had 1 ally, but then walked away, you get 2x10=20... then 20/2=10 posts.
This is because the reward is divided by the number of characters on your team.
If you fought for 20 turns against 3 opponents while in a team of 2, and all 3 opponents were defeated, while you made it out okay, you count it as 3 'Victories' for you, resulting in...
3x50=150... then 150/2=75 posts.
But in the same example of 2-on-3, your teammate was beaten at some point, so for them, they count it as 3 'Stalemates' for them, resulting in...
3x40=120... then 120/2=60 posts.
Weak Opponents
Minions
Main characters always get awarded x1 when fighting minions. So don't think you can get a cheap boost from picking on someone's minion.
500 post difference
If you have at least 500 posts more than your opponent, all your awards go down one level (to a minimum of x1).
For each additional 500 posts you have beyond that 500, your awards drop further, at one level per 500 posts (to a minimum of x1).
Note: This is ignored when applying for posts for posting as an NPC. Since you already get everything halved.
NPCs
For each major transformation (the ones at every 1000 posts, and whether unlocked or not) an NPC has over you, you can deduct the effect of 1 teammate when dividing your post boost.
This is because NPCs tend to be damn powerful and require teamwork to take them down. It's just no good to go to all that effort and get a nerfed boost.
So, for example, if you and an ally take on an NPC.
You have 11'500 posts, and the NPC has 12'100 posts.
The NPC has the 12'000 post major (even if they never use it, they're just 'at the level'), while your highest is the 11'000 major.
The NPC is killed, and you survive, in 20 turns.
You gain 60 posts, NOT 30!
Note: This also applies when fighting overpowered members who post too much. Not just NPCs.
You vs You
If any two accounts controlled by the same person fight each other, they can only earn posts as if the battle was 'unfinished'.
Also, the effects of weights are ignored.
New Characters/Minions
0-210: Up until and including your 210th post, any post boost you apply for will be tripled.
210-444: Up until and including your 444th post, any boost you apply for will be doubled.
This includes all forms of post boosts, such as Roshi's Training, Guru's Unlock, Dragon Ball Wishes, etcetera; not just combat.

- Unfinished x1
You never actually defeated your opponent, and they never actually defeated you. The whole thing was just called off for some reason, or maybe one of you simply gave up before the battle could end. - Defeated x1.5
You got your ass kicked... - Stalemate x2
A long and arduous battle fought straight through to its end, but neither you nor your opponent came out as the victor. With you both exhausted, the battle just could not go on. - Victory x2.5
You beat the crap out of your opponent! - Kill x3
You killed your opponent. - Death x4
You died in battle... that sucks... - Kamikaze x5
Both you and your opponent died. Wow.
