The great canyons of earth that were formed when the planet was created or when mankind was looking for something. Sometimes you might come across long, deep rivers, or mine shafts that reach deep into the earth and are sometimes unstable.
A good place to test techniques that make large craters.
These are an okay place to hide but it's hard to fight because of all the rocky walls that line the edges of the canyons, limiting movement.

The Wilderness is a harsh mistress, just ask the lone man sat on a large rock in the terrible heat, "Aye..." Rajah groaned, his eyes rolling back in their sockets as he fell back, lying down on the rock with a grimace. His sightings of a vehicle heading his way must have been the heat getting to him or something, "Dammit... tricked again! Curse you planet!" Things just hadn't been going well for him recently it seems. He just can't catch a break, with no one passing through his area for a week or so. Usually people had to come this way in order to reach West City, but it seemed people weren't too interested in the Western Metropolis recently.
"I have a me to feed, you inconsiderate bastards! Come through here with your big moving truck-y things! Dammit I hate that techno crap..."

He said that, yet in truth he often relied on technology such as that of the people he stole from who passed through. He himself had a small car back at his makeshift home, with a few capsulized meals and kitchen machines. But, unfortunately, he didn't have those now. And even more unfortunately, his house was a good few miles away.
See, this is why it's not a good idea to try and steal from a moving truck that just won't stop no matter how much you take, "I knew I should've jumped off earlier." Again and again he said this to himself, thinking it would somehow make this all better.
It didn't.

It took a while, but eventually getting himself up, Rajah set off for the city in the distance, sighing loudly as the winds battered away at his dark figure. His feet already ached, and this wouldn't do them much good, would it?
"Urgh... this... gah..." He thought he saw someone coming in his direction a few times, but it turned out to be a hallucination. He just hoped that the city in the distance wasn't one too, otherwise he'd have to scream and have a little hissy fit.
"I need a drink."

This place was no better than the desert village he lived in as a child. Oh, wait, no, it was worse, they had water. He didn't.
But at least he had imaginary cities...
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" He screamed, throwing his arms into the air and kicking at the ground in frustration, "Burn in hell you damn babba hahfaghn!" He descended into gibberish in the end, but ended up calming down soon enough. It took a good while though, and a lot of kicks to various rocks, but he relaxed eventually and resumed his walking.

Marka woke up startled. He was still drenched from head to toe with the rain that had fallen the previous day. The young android felt himself lucky, he did relish the thought of himself short circuiting. He slowly rose to his feet and walked over to the cheap mirror he propped up against the wall of his cave. He looked terrible; His hair was disheveled and seemed to have a mind of it's own, he was covered in mud from the long run to his cave after the rain hit, and to top it all off he was soaked.
Small drops of water dripped from his temple down his cheek, and then cascaded off his chin to the dark floor below. Marka turned himself around and walked over to the adjacent wall where he had been keeping tick marks for each night he spent in this wretched place. He was now at an entire two weeks in this shit hole.

Marka sighed and ran his hand through his hair. He could feel the moisture transferring itself deftly to his fingers. The android realized he had to find another way to live. He could not go on living in scattered caves throughout the canyons of Earth.
Marka slowly removed his wet clothes. He folded all articles of clothing neatly and put them to the side. Then he grabbed the one extra change of clothes he had and slipped them on. A red T-Shirt, rather comfortable and a pair of black jeans.

Marka grabbed the sheet he had been using to sleep and put all of the possessions he cared about on top of it. He could do without the mirror, it was already cracked anyway and he was sure he could get another on his next trip into a major city. Marka grabbed what little zenie he had, and his wet clothing and placed them on top of the sheet.
Marka then walked over his mirror and looked behind it. There was a small little pouch with a ring once belonging to his master and small rope. Marka slipped on the ring and discarded the pouch, it wouldn't be prudent to carry. Marka then folded up the sheet so it resembled a bag and tied a clove hitch around the tip to keep it from opening. Marka strengthen his clove hitch with a single half hitch to prevent it from coming undone.

Marka hauled the bag over his head and began walking towards the entrance of the cave. Where he was going he had no idea. He'd walk until something happened. He had no food left so that would be an issue. Out here in the canyons game was sparse. He would need to accelerate his walking to find an area with sufficient game to eat.
Marka picked a direction and began to walk. Marka knew he would be walking for quite awhile. He was thankful that he was an android and not an organic for this particular journey might prove to be quite draining.

Now back at home, Rajah sighed as he sat in his little cave. He had close to nothing that he hadn't stolen from passers-by. A makeshift punching-bag, a bed, a shitty little stove and yeah... that's about it. Sat on aforementioned 'bed', Rajah let out a loud groan. The city was too much hustle and bustle for him to deal with. He just wanted to relax and steal from people.
Although, the odd-looking fighters intrigued him. He was tempted to return, but ended up not acting on it. He merely stayed where he was, in his cave. On his bed.

Curiosity had overcome the young man, and he was rumbling across the rocky badlands on a small quad bike thing, "Why would monks be in the city? Damn... the uniforms, I swear, are those damn monks... they lived in the mountains though, didn't they? What's going on...?" He huffed as he bounced about on the barely-functioning bike. City in the distance, he frowned as he realized it was much closer than he thought it to be. Much closer to West City, certainly.

"Thanks Nimbus" Tyson said as he leaped down off of his cloud. "Lets see here...I need to start training...my techniques...where to start?"

"What about that Solar Flare thing....I need to really see what that can do..." Placing his hands out in front of his face at each temple, Ki would begin to radiate though his body where he would then send it up to his face as he yelled out. A bright light would cover the canyon as it would blind anyone near, around, or above it.

"Well that will prove useful in the future...that's for sure....I just need to get use to using it ...that's for sure....what else have I learned in my training? Hm.....That double blast..that could be handy"

Placing his hand down at his sides he then began to charge energy into each of his palms. "Now...lets see what we have here" Throwing both of his arms forward the energy would release from his body as it then traveled though out the canyon.

Turning his arms he would then allow the ki to change it's course and dodge the bigger rocks that couldn't be destroyed. The first beam would crash into the side of the mountain causing some rocks to fall in Tyson's direction.

"AH!" Tyson screeched out as the rocks began to fall in his direction. Redirecting his hand once more, he aimed the attack of his to destroy the rest of the falling rocks.

Damian smiled as he looked down into the canyon. The same place he killed his parents in. He could still see the crater the car had left. "Such an evil deed I have done. But they should learn from what they done to me. In the pits of hell..they can now start their lives. Maybe do something right." Damian smiled as he turned and walked to the bike he had rode over on.

Damian turned to look at the edge of the canyon. A smile flashed across his face as he put on his helmet and tossed his right leg over the bike seat. He turned the key, revved the engine, peeled out doing a 180 donut, stirring the dust and peeled off. Racing his way back to North City.

Taking the scenic route as expected, Nimbus flew over the rocky cliffs and canyons of Earth. Unfortunately, Freiz...rolled right off the cloud and plummeted down one of the canyons.

If Nimbus could have made sound, it would have been making loud sounds of fright or perhaps just lots of noise to try and wake Freiz up as it darted down after him.

Even flying as fast as it could, Nimbus was just barely faster than Freiz's freefalling speed. Still asleep, and still quite oblivious, Freiz probably hadn't even realized he'd fallen.

Swooping under Freiz, Nimbus caught the falling saiyan...who promptly bounced on the fluffy cloud...right back into another freefall. Lucky guy, huh?

Post by Freiz on Jul 6, 2009 12:40:42 GMT -5
Swooping down again, Nimbus made an arc in its flight path this time, catching Freiz at an angle so that when he bounced this time, he bounced forward and was caught easily by Nimbus, who took up and out of the canyon.

Being much, much more careful in its flight path now, Nimbus made its way, with Freiz aboard, away from the canyons with all the speed it could muster in its caution.
