Name: Issilude Valience
Race: Mutant (Ki Control/Power)
Age: 13
Sex: Male
Alignment: Good
Hair Color: light gray
Hair Style: short and loose
Eye Color: Black
Height: 4’3”
Body Appearance: Issilude is very skinny and pale, like any kid that doesn’t get out much. There’s a scar on the palm of his hand from the many times he’s sacrificed some of his blood as part of a spell. Despite being so young he has an air of maturity about him and he has an innate ability to understand new things.
Clothes: Issilude wears typical mage wear; a long dark blue robe, a broad rimmed straw hat, leather gloves and boots. Under his robe is a pair of black cloth pants and a blue shirt. He’s never without his staff, a length of gnarled wood about a foot taller than he is.
Ki/Energy Color: Black aura, though his eyes glow gold and his attacks' colors vary
Quote: “How does this work?”
Story: Issilude, though he appears human, isn’t from Earth. He’s from an unknown planet called Arivon, where ki energy is believed to be magical energy. In fact, he was training with his granduncle to become a mage. As an apprentice, it was Issilude’s job to act as a guinea pig for his granduncle’s new spells. It was one of these, a new teleportation spell, that sent Issilude to Earth for the first time.
On Earth he met Shiro, who agreed to show him around until he got used to the vast differences between this world and his own.
Starting Location: Earth
Signature Technique
Name: Spell bolt
Description: Issilude fires a bolt of energy at his opponent, either from his staff or his hands
Special Effects: The bolt has a temporary stunning effect in addition to damage, paralyzing the victim for a post.
Defects: Issilude has trouble casting this at first, so he’ll start with only two uses per battle.
Name: Bubble
Description: A basic shield spell. Issilude condenses ki into a physical wall of protection.
Special effects: Can either be formed into a small, strong single directional barrier, or a weaker spherical one. Can also be charged to make it stronger.
Defects: Small version has low coverage. Sphere version can be more easily broken. He has trouble with both at first, so only one use per battle for now.
Desperation Attack
Name: Magic Storm
Description: Issilude gathers energy into a ball at the tip of his staff, then raises it above his head. Electrical energy arcs from the staff in all directions, attacking whomever Issilude chooses.
Special Notes
Along with his attacks, Issilude knows several nonaggressive spells, including a translation spell he uses to communicate.
Style Changes:
Double Buster > Double Dragon
Issilude's Double Busters look like serpentine dragons of tourquoise ki. He can fire them the normal, two-for-two way or he can fire one from one hand, or he can fire the one stronger one from both hands. The one handed version is weaker since there's only one dragon, but uses less energy. The stronger version simply combines the two dragons into one, concentrating the energy.
Function Changes:
IT > Flicker
Issilude spends one turn charging, then ITs in place. The slight delay between vanishing and reappearing allows Issilude to avoid almost any attack. One use per battle.
Upgrades:
Double Dragon > Dragon Knight
Issilude's dragons, Billy and Jimmy, have gained sentience. For one post charge, Issilude is able to summon one or both dragons. The dragons are able to think and act independently of Issilude, allowing him to charge or attack while they're in the field. One dragon lasts five posts, two dragons last three, or until destroyed. Can only be used once per battle.
Spirit Ball > Spirit Blade
Instead of a ball of ki, for another post charging, Issilude forms a sword. As well as being able to control the sword with a bit of focus, the sword will pursue it's target if Issilude's concentration is broken, aiming to stab them and explode.
Solar Flare > Solar Beam
Issilude spends a turn gathering light like for Solar Flare. However, instead of releasing it all as a blinding flash, he releases it in a focused beam. The beam is released along side a flash, making the attack hard to avoid.
