Story
One night, it seemed like there was an Earthquake in west city. No one was really sure of what was happening. Much to everyone's surpise, it seemed like the Earth was splitting, as the ground began to break apart. However, this earthquake turned out to be a clever ruse, as an army of soldiers, armed with futuristic weapons(lasers) came storming out. With such a swift surprise attack, they have completely occupied west city. Those who survived have managed to warn all the other cities, and now the whole Earth knows of the army's presence.
No one is really sure where these soldiers have come from, other than the obvious underground. Efforts have been made to track the whereabouts of this army's base, but there has been no luck. It seems like the only way to figure out who is at the bottom of all of this is to beat it out of the enemies themselves.
Unfortunately, the soldiers have been "brainwashed" and will be unable to give you the location of the enemy base. It must be beaten out of the leaders in charge. The leaders can be found cleverly hidden within their armies, and will only fight at the front if they have to.
Interacting with the future army
Each city on Earth will have a topic where you can post all of your expeditions against the futuristic army. After a total of ten posts in the topic meant for destroying the army, the leader will emerge. The leaders are all NPCs.
If your post count is at 10,000, you have enough speed to dodge barrages of shots and attacks from groups of soldiers. However, if you're in an open space and you have to face a whole wave of lasers, you better hope you have a friend with you, or else you will get demolished. Use the terrain of the cities to your advantage!
If you have a post count of 10,200, you can use your ki attacks to completely blast and obliterate armies. At 10,300, you can take a more reckless approach and make use of after images, completely confusing the enemy army.
If a city is left alone for an entire week, it will be completely destroyed so that the futuristic army can rebuild it. If West City is left alone for a week, it will also be destroyed for reconstruction, but shops will be set up with some futuristic goods... but there'll be no more Capsule Corporation. So maybe that's not such a great thing.
The worst case scenario is that all the cities of Earth are destroyed and rebuilt, causing the Earth to be a technologically much more advanced place. Unfortunately countless innocent people will die in the process.
Only the Dragon Balls can restore this damage.
Since you'll be fighting armies, you are allowed to loot the goods of the soldiers. Their weapons are all laser based. Since lasers are not in this RP, I'll describe them.
Lasers
Lasers are ultra intense waves (electromagnetic), delivering a scorching amount of heat over a small area in an extremely quick amount of time. Areas where lasers hit cause no blood loss, but will leave your character in stinging pain. Although laser weapons are overall less convenient in a battle than conventional weapons, they have an advantage, and this is when the victim is at weakened 50%.
Without sufficient ki, a person can not effectively shield him/herself from the radiation of the laser. This will cause the damage of the laser weapon to increase a level.
Items
The looks of each item can be customized to your liking, just depending on what soldier you kill
Laser gun:
Has ten shots, and 1 post is required to recharge one shot. The battery that powers the circuitry generates a laser that's as strong as a knife.
If you have at least 10,100 posts, you can fire more than one shot in a turn. In fact you can fire as many times as you'd like, as long as your gun has charge.
Laser sword:
Comes in different shapes an sizes, but no bigger than a long sword. Unfortunately the electric current used to generate this laser is not very strong, thus the intensity of the laser is just as powerful as a short sword. The battery is powerful enough to sustain the laser for a full ten turns. It takes one turn for the battery to recharge for a post.
Future Chestcloth:
Made of cloth, looks like a shirt of your imagination. Nanotechnology has allowed iron particles just bigger than atoms to be easily integrated into the structure of the cloth, making it as tough as ring mail!
Future Helmet:
A full helmet with a visor that is polarized to such intensity that even the brightest sunlight can't go through it. Comes with infrared (heat) and night vision. It's as tough as a bronze helmet.
Future Boots:
Stretchable and elastic, and made of cloth. Just like the chestcloth, a bit of nanotechnology allowed iron particles just bigger than atoms to help make up the structure, which makes them tough as any ordinary boots.
Future Gloves:
Tough as gauntlets. Your hands will never sweat in these!
Future Pants:
Made out of the same material as the future cloth, thus it is also as tough.
Supercharging a Laser Weapon
This can only be done if you have the Ki/Energy Control skill. With this proficiency in ki, you can actually use your ki to "electrify" yourself, raising yourself to a higher level of voltage than the battery. If you do this, you'll have electricity flowing from your body into the battery, providing it with much more power than before.
This will raise the strength of your laser weapon up a level. If you're using a gun with the strength of a knife, it has the strength of a shuriken. If you're using a laser sword with the strength of a short sword, it becomes as strong as a long sword. Also, because you become the laser weapon's source of power, the laser weapon operates with infinite uses as long as you're not in weakened 50%.
You can also create your own aesthetic effect to accompany this. For example your laser sword could have sparks of electricity cackling around it.
Be careful though, this is draining to do over time. You're using your ki to manipulate nature at the atomic level, which is something Dragon Ball characters do not typically do. The guideline is that if you use your ki to supercharge a laser weapon for the same length as the battery life of that weapon, the fatigue is the same as if going from full energy to moderately fatigued.
Conclusion
Have fun, and good luck!
