Keep in mind the Generals are at starter 10k post counts; this saga is designed to be relatively easy and a bit of fun before the real stuff starts later.
So personally I'd not want to wait too long.

I say roll with it now. It will be a good way to work out the kinks and what not before the real trouble starts. Plus, with the saga and then the tournament shortly after, we'll have plenty of combat time. I'm guessing so, anyway.
