After the battle with Sakar, Gozu, with Julia in his arms, flew away from the scene back to his spaceship, where they could rest and get a grip on all the crazy things that have been happening.
Julia doesn't really have anywhere else to go, so this becomes her new home. The thing is, it really isn't a problem. She and Gozu find themselves getting along pretty well. They're not so good for small talk, and generally have difficulty knowing what to say, but they both feel so comfortable together... to the point they're both very happy with the situation. Julia and Gozu were at the start of what could become a close friendship.
Eventually, Gozu starts talking about heading off to space... Julia feels very up for the idea of going on a big crazy SPACE ADVENTURE! So Gozu takes a trip out to West City to see whether Capsule Corporation is back up and running again.
Sadly, it wasn't, and Gozu had to come back with no spaceship. You may be wondering why they couldn't use the spaceship Gozu already has... the answer is simple: it's wrecked beyond repair; only any use as a place to live.
So, what did they do while waiting for Capsule Corporation to come back? Well, you see, it was clear that Julia had a problem. When fighting, if she got too in to it or gathered enough energy from her opponent, Julia's personality would slip away, as the 'programming' in her mind surfaces. The scientist who made her an android intended to erase her memories, if you remember, and leave nothing but the thoughts and knowledge of a cold-blooded killer. Her 'programming' is that killer, and lies dormant in her subconscious during most times. Now, what was I saying? Ah yes, Julia had a problem, and Gozu had to be clear with her that she'd have to fix it. Actually... they'd fix it together.
Gozu and Julia would train together many days. He taught her the basics that any saiyan teaches their child, but also focused on the psychological aspects of being a fighter, too. Julia had to learn to get a full grip on her powers, without flipping out in to being some sociopath, and that would take time. It did take time.
In fact, she's still not quite got the full hang of it, but she did learn how to fly, and she has a very fine control over her energy now... a much finer control than she thought possible. Soon she might learn how to fully control her flying abilities, too. But only time will tell.
By the way, it wasn't all work and no fun. Gozu and Julia would explore by flying around on their nimbuses or by having Gozu carry Julia while he does the flying. They'd visit places and try to relax and such... Julia has a lot of pain hidden inside of her, and Gozu just wants her to find a way to get rid of it. At least, that's how Julia sees it... and she's very thankful. By now, Julia considers Gozu a very valuable friend, and she doesn't know what she would have done without him. Even from that first day they met... he helped stop her when she was going out of control with her powers.
From time to time, Couric visits the two... he seems taller every time they see him! Gozu and Couric often go off together to train, leaving Julia to relax or try training by herself. When Gozu and Couric come back after their training session, the three always just hang out together, eating stuff and relaxing and talking about whatever random stuff comes to mind. They're like a little family of two brothers and one sister. One day an idea strikes Julia...
"Hey, you know... we're like three super heroes or something. Wouldn't it be cool if we like... formed an alliance? Set up some crazy headquarters, and explored the Universe fighting evil together?"
She meant it half-jokingly, but the idea caught on pretty well.
So, as soon as Capsule Corporation got back up and running, Gozu bought himself and Julia a spaceship, and set off around the Universe, stopping over on minor planets before heading to Vegeta.
Couric tagged along in his own spacepod, separately.
It was pretty fun altogether, but they found a certain planet along the way... the Planet of the Genies; a peaceful planet full of creatures very much like Mr. Popo from Earth's Lookout. It's a beautiful place full of lush grasslands and forests, and crystal clear rivers and lakes. It's beautiful.
Julia takes a liking to the planet, and she likes it so much that she and Gozu stick around for a while. Couric leaves, though, heading off to do his own training. They decide that this planet will be their meeting place whenever they want to get together or there's trouble brewing.
Gozu and Julia spend their time together on the Planet of the Genies, becoming quite used to the peaceful atmosphere, but also making sure to train often. They've even tried working on a few special team-work maneuvers, and think they might have one figured out that they'll use when they're up against some great evil one day.
They spent 4 months on the Planet of the Genies, but eventually left, and at last are about to arrive on planet Vegeta.
