It's been one full year since Aku took his steps through the strange portal he managed to mimic some time ago, once ago made that faithful leap through the green light of the exit he found himself to be free of the horrors of his old 'home' gone was the dark and foreboding rocky wasteland of a landscape that made up the area of Hades that Aku had lived in for so long, it was now replaced by a lush beautiful forest of Earth Aku spent days wandering the forest fending for himself by eating a strange four legged fuzzy animal with large horns that had tried to impale him. Despite being completely and totally lost Aku didn't really care, he felt safe here far safer than he had ever felt on Hades, heck he even felt safer than when he had been with Hero.
Ah yes Hero, perhaps the only thing Aku missed about Hades, the older half demon who had taken him in, Aku hated that he haven't even gotten to say good bye to his friend and teacher but something within the little demon told him that he would see his friend again. Aku spend a few days within the confides of his forest home, he began sleeping in trees after finding that when he slept on the ground occasionally animals would find it necessary to awaken him by prodding him with their noses or gnawing on his head or arms.
Aku quickly began learning how to fend for himself in the forest, now that he was no longer the weakest being in the area he could actually get food and was even able to kill a few more of the fuzzy horned creatures that tasted oh so good when cooked by the heat of an energy blast. However Aku did not remain alone for the whole year, on his seventeenth day on Earth Aku heard the sounds of other people around, he hid within the branches of a fallen tree not wanting to be found and possibly have his personal paradise ruined, however while peeking from the branches Aku saw not demons trudging through the forest, but beings like his father... humans. Aku took another leap of faith that day and presented himself to them, the humans seemed unacquainted with demons as they simply presumed Aku to be a strange looking and very lost kid, the group brought Aku back with them to a small village not far from the forest, they provided Aku with shelter and food as they couldn't simply leave a child alone in the forest.
Aku for three months Aku lived in a home with other children who had lost there parents, the people who ran the home were nice enough and took good care of each child, Aku quickly got to a proper weight for a child his age and after pestering a few locals learned how to properly work out so he could become stronger. Aku spent day in and day out working out so that when he next met Hero he would be able to impress his friend, during this time Aku began to miss his friend more and more, sure he had made new friends in the village but somehow he felt less connected them than how he had been with Hero, perhaps it was because Hero had been the real first person to show him kindness since his parent's deaths, perhaps it was because they shared common blood in that they were both half demons, regardless of the reasoning Aku wanted to see Hero again and spar with him, not just because it had been what they had always done but because he wanted to see if his weeks of training had actually paid off.
Seven months into his stay with the village Aku told the people who ran the home that he would be leaving, they tried to convince him to stay claiming that he was far to young to be out in the world on his own, Aku however simply said he had to leave and so he did, a few people tried to stop him but once Aku actually started running none of them were near fast enough to keep up with him. Aku would spend the next few months traveling from city to city trying to find out if Hero had perhaps been to Earth as surely if Aku had the ability to do so Hero must have done so millions of times, Aku continued with his training during his travels and even added to it after meeting a few martial artists. However Aku's search for hero was rather futile, he did however learn a lot about Earth itself and during the next five months of traveling and training Aku decided that Earth rather than Hades was where he belonged and vowed to never return to the horror of his old home. Aku has since taken a break in yet another random village a bit away from the cities of Earth wanting to rest up from his nearly five month's of traveling, he was lucky enough to find that this village like the first he encountered was quite friendly, they allowed him to stay, after spending a few days there a few of the denizens of the town saw that Aku was no normal child, he was far stronger than most children his age and because of this asked for his help with a few menial tasks around the village, Aku gladly agreed to help and thus has taken a small break in the amount of training he does per day to help the village so that he can repay them for allowing him to stay.
