Despite having spent several months simply taking whatever he might have needed from the various shops he happened to wander by during his time as a drifter and trying to use all of that new free time he had on finding out just how his new body worked, he had barely figured out anything. So far he knew he could drain the life force of living beings through his palms and he knew the fact that he had a long and pointed tail. Having that tail was quite useful from time to time. He could threaten people with it and even use it to steathily take things from the shops. He became quite dextrous with his tail, almost like it was another VERY flexible arm with no hand or fingers at the end, just one very sharp point.
After several people attempted to mug him and failed miserably, Lethenir decided he needed to pick up a job somewhere so he could earn money. Perhaps he could also hone his abilities there, too, assuming he got the right job. Not many places were willing to hire someone who looked underage and didn't have any valid identification information. He did manage to find one job, though. It was one that he enjoyed, too, since it made use of his unique abilities quite well.
He had picked up a job as a bouncer at one of the clubs in South City. He enjoyed the upbeat atmosphere of club life even though he couldn't get all the enjoyment out of it that others did he still managed to find his own little bit of enjoyment finding every way possible to 'break up' a brawl. Since it was in the bad part of South City, those brawls happened a bit more than most people wanted...except for Lethenir. He wanted every single brawl to occur. He even instigated some of them. He figured since many of his abilities seemed to be combat oriented, combat would be the best way to find new abilities and practice the ones he did know about.
After nearly three months at his job, Lethenir's mind suddenly hatched an incredible idea. The people he used to call parents had told him that the military's technology was the reason he was still alive, so clearly since he was an android the military must have built him. Lethenir was no idiot when it came to technology either. He'd taken several computer courses in High School, so he knew his way around such things. This was where his plan came into effect. He would use his newly found abilities along with his skills with technology to go to the military complex where he was 'created' and take a copy of his schematics. He'd also delete the schematics from the Military's mainframe so they couldn't cause any problems for him in the future. No doubt that this would be a long and arduous project that would require careful planning.
He knew that they would, without a doubt, have installed some kind of tracking mechanism in his design. This would mean that he'd have to find and remove the device in order to be able to sneak in and get his schematics. He had a good idea of how to find out where the tracking device was at in his body. With this new plot in his mind, he heads to the military surplus outlet. He knows he can get what he needs from there fairly cheap. He doubted that they would stop him, either.
When he arrived he picked up only a few things. A full motion capable camera with thermal, night, and infrared vision. He then purchased three disks for said camera so he could watch the footage once it was taken. With his new gear in tow, he set out for a hotel where he could stay in peace and get his work done without interruptions.
He set up the camera to view in thermal vision. He then stood in front of the camera and sent himself into 'sleep' mode. Although he wasn't required to sleep, he had the ability to revert to a dormant mode that allowed his body to recharge his energy at a much faster rate than normal. This also meant that his systems would be far less active during sleep mode. Normally this information wouldn't be important, but he knew that the tracking device would be active no matter what. With that activity it would require energy and energy produces heat. That would let him know where it's located. If it was located near the battery that powered him, then he'd know as well.
He sent himself into his dormant mode while the camera recorded the thermal activity within his body. he made sure to repeat the process from multiple angles so that the camera would pick up on everything in his body since he doubted it would pierce through his entire structure.
He then went to one of the computers that the hotel offered for its 'higher paying' customers and reviewed what the footage had to offer. He smirked when he saw that there were only two primary heat signatures in his body during his dormant state. The largest one, which was his power supply that was located in his abdomen, and one in his upper chest cavity.
He grabbed the a toolbox from one of the local auto repair shops and opens up his chest plate. He carefully removes not only the tracking device, but another device attached to it that stored data on all the stimuli he took in through his optic and audio sensory mechanisms.
With a triumphant look and his excellent plan prepared for action, he sets out for the military complex that created his body.
Being an android, he can easily take out the common soldiers that they have guarding the entrance. He uses his energy to generate an EMP as well, shutting down the cameras at the entrance. He tactically maneuvers through the base after having commandeered some new duds from one of the unconscious guards. He then enters the lab and computer science area of the complex after having walked around the complex seemingly unnoticed, although the closer he got to his target area, the more he could hear people talking about him in the halls.
He didn't care. Let them talk. They'd all regret the day they tried to replace someone like his former self. He'd enact his own vengeance. He shook the thought from his mind, though, and continued towards his current goal. He entered a lone room full of computers. Currently there was only one scientist there. He quickly fried the cameras in the room with an EMP blast and melted the door shut with his energy. He interrogated the scientist, nearly killing him until he got the password to their files from him. He then knocked him unconscious and stuffed him into the air ducts.
He quickly accessed their files and, linking his index finger to the system through a USB port, he extracts the files to his system and deletes the file from theirs. Mission accomplished. He blows the door open and makes an escape at top speed. To further his disguise he acts as though he scared out of his mind, running from whatever had just caused the explosion. Now he was free to master his new body to the fullest...
For the remainder of his time as a bouncer at that club, he was able to find new and exciting ways to kick people out. He'd beat them down beforehand with his newly found extendable limbs, even tangling one of his victims up in the alley behind the club because they spat in his face. He had so much fun with his extendable arms. He'd do everything with them from getting drinks for frequent visitors that he like to grabbing attractive females' backsides. They'd never know it was him either, because of his incredible speed.
Still, he began to travel to Hercule City several times a month to train in the dojo. He knew from his schematics that until his energy reached a certain level he wouldn't have access to all of his features. With that in mind, he began stealing energy from every poor sap that dared to cross him. Even a couple of the trainers in the dojo wad fell victim to his energy absorbing abilities. It was clear that he had earned quite a name for himself. Still, he hadn't killed anyone yet. Even when he'd entered the military complex by force, he only rendered them unconscious. He didn't care if he broke a couple of bones in the process he was just getting the job done.
Now that he has his schematics, his original plans of learning and mastering all the mechanisms of his metallic self are structured and simpler. No doubt he will master them all in no time. Little did he know, though, that the military was still hot on his trail. They had to resort to more simple methods than using a technologically advanced tracking device. Instead soldiers were combing South City and Hercule city to find him. Unfortunately these were soldiers of the common variety like the ones at the complex. They were cyborg soldiers of a similar caliber to himself in terms of abilities. He did have the advantage of being a prototype, though, so his powers exceeded theirs in some areas. That's all the edge he'd get, too, since they clearly had numbers.
Now he begins his struggle. The struggle to escape his trackers...or destroy them...
