Approximately three hours earlier, Gauge's space pod had landed in an uncharted area somewhere within the vast wilderness of Earth. This was his first time returning since gaining complete control of himself, and he blindly believed this was what the rest of the planet would look like...deserted, trees everywhere, bushes and wild grass growing all over. Although he couldn't be blamed for his naivety, as he had very little knowledge and control over himself the majority of his life. He never knew anything about other races, planets, etc. until now.
He'd set out walking, admiring the beauty and lushness of the planet. It was nothing like the others he'd been to and forced to conquer in the past years. They were dark and gloomy, the smell of death everywhere he went. After a while, he miraculously wound up exactly where he needed to be. He didn't know why, but it felt almost as if something had drawn him to this place. Of course, it wasn't hard to spot. Just ahead of him was a crater that stretched out for miles on end. Huge chunks of debris from buildings, automobiles, and pavement, as well as crushed trees and other objects, filled the huge void before him.
There were also bodies. Hundreds upon thousands of them. Bodies still intact, bodies missing limbs, or bodies completely ripped to shreds...all of them decaying, but still filling the air with that familiar, foul smell of blood and rotted flesh; the smell of death, as he'd come to think of it. I did this..., he thought to himself, having a short flashback of the events that took place here several years before. This is where I was born...where they created me. But I have to know why...I have to know why they created me, what my...purpose is supposed to be. Their reasons for creating such a monster...

Scouting the surrounding crater, he spotted the remains of a tall, crumbled pile of rubble near the core. It had once been a huge building... Memories of this place had flashed in his mind more than any other, and so he knew it had some sort of significance. Upon reaching this place, he studied the destruction. Whatever I'm looking for is hidden beneath this rubble. This is where I was created...
He began digging through the mess, hoping to find something, anything that might tell him about himself and what he was. The things he found were strange and confusing to him nonetheless, but to a normal Human or any other being who'd lived on this planet for some time, they'd appear as lab equipment; shattered glass tanks, busted vial bottles, titanium metal chambers, etc. And there were papers...tons and tons of tattered pieces of paper everywhere. He managed to run across a paper that was heavily torn, but still mostly intact and readable. It read the following;
Project Unknown Journal, July 7th
Today Project Unknown began it's beta stages. I must say, even as a scientist who has dealt with all kinds of strange new experiments over the past years, this is by far the most exciting experiment I've come on-board with. The sheer idea of combining Saiyan DNA with this Ancient bloodline is practically exhilarating, as no other DNA has managed to withstand the acidic levels during the splicing process better than Saiyan DNA. Saiyans have been known to be one of the most powerful race of beings to ever exist; their fighting skills unmatched, their progression rate limitless. The only explanation I can give as to why Saiyan DNA has been the only known bloodline capable of surviving the splicing process with the Ancient DNA, is that this ancient race of beings were equally as powerful as Saiyans, or perhaps even the stronger! The true abilities of this Anicent race are currently unknown, but the possibilities could be endless!! If Project Unknown is a success, we believe we may have taken the first steps towards creating the ultimate warrior, and reviving an ancient civilization that has been extinct for well over eight hundred million years
Dr. Arkan Mallard
Gauge dropped the tattered journal entry to the ground. So I'm part of this 'Saiyan' race, and part something else...making me one of the most powerful beings in existence... He outstretched a hand, staring at his palm. Or so I used to be. Whatever incredible powers I attained due to my DNA from those two races were sucked out of me by that woman...but perhaps it was for the best. I can still remember the way I felt when I was that powerful...the rage, it consumed me...made me a monster...made me a killer, a life taker...

But afterall, these files said I'm supposed to be the ultimate warrior. Perhaps that is my purpose afterall, and I'm meant to bring death and destruction upon this universe... Even though he had originally thought thinking like this was wrong, he was beginning to believe if that is what he was created for, then there was no escaping it. It was in his DNA, in his blood, to feel this way, perhaps. Perhaps this 'ancient civilization' were in fact a bunch of psychopathic murderers and he was meant to follow in their footsteps. Or perhaps this was all wrong and in his head. But either way, he could feel the pit within him boiling, roaring like a fire, begging to get out. It was his natural instinct and traits he'd received from his Saiyan side that made him feel this way, and he could feel himself giving in to it ever so slowly. He wanted to fight. He wanted to become stronger...because now, he was weak. All his amazing power that made him feel alive and as though he had a purpose had been taken from him.
But he would get it back. And when he did, he wouldn't let it take control anymore. He would learn to control it.
Turning and beginning to walk away from the destruction, he made his way out of the crater and headed off to fulfill his destiny as he had come to know it: to become the ultimate warrior.
