Chapter 1
But, life went on, as expected. His daily work was, basically to train and do odd jobs for the community of King Vegeta’s planet. Occasionally he had been sent out on some missions who allowed him to meet other fighters, each of a different style than the last. Through his journeys he had been sure to make every second of his free time into training. He asked them for countless training tips, spars, all things in relation to fight in hopes of finding what had enabled that Saiyan he fought before to gain all that power in some, transformation.
Multiple people though he was just a loon trying to get power for some odd reason. Perhaps he was just that, but even so he didn’t mind, he knew that he needed power in order to defend things that he wanted, most importantly defend his life from those that may show to be even more powerful that that Saiyan. But even with these good intentions, he was becoming power thirsty. This was the normal for just about any Saiyan would carried his pride so high. Thought it did get to a point where it was no longer bearable. This was spotted only by 1 Saiyan. His older Brother Auru.

A year and a half from the fight
“My whole life of just trying to gather experience… All of it was crushed in just a few seconds?” My hands gripped onto my head, while I felt the cool rain drops falling onto my sitting figure. Perched up on a rock in the mountainous area on Vegeta, I couldn’t help but feel the things I was doing, the things I had accomplished, they had meant nothing… “SO! You’re just going to stay up here, moping about that lose of yours?” That voice, how? Why was he here at a time like this?
“Just go away Auru. I don’t need your lectures today.” I stood up, fist clenched tightly while my eyes were shut closed. My emotions were getting harder and harder to control… I couldn’t help that burning sensation in my core that told me to run up to him, and just completely end him. “Really, you think that’ll solve your problems? It’s not my fault that you’re so…” Don’t say it. Don’t finish that sentence. These phrases ran through my mind as my fist started shaking. Muscles tensing up as if I were prepared to pounce on something… Namely Auru.
“Weak!”
Fuck.
Turning heel, I started my sprint over to him with nothing but rage and fury present in my eyes. I had no plans like I usually did. I didn’t plan to have fun, or just to learn more about fighting this time. It was real – To me, it was a death match. With the strength bottled up in my fist, I swung like I was attempting to completely smash his existences into tiny little pieces. “Woah.” The first right hook soared in the air while he repositioned his upper body to lean back. “Scary,” his voice was mocking, and it only sent me even further into my rage.
“Shut up!” A left upper cut was sent flying to him while my body lunged with it, closing the distances between us. It was halted effortlessly by his left palm, stopping it from connecting to his jaw. “With heavy fist like these, you’ll never get stronger, y’know,” I didn’t notice his right hand balling up into a fist and snaking it’s way between both our left hands, right into my side. Backing up and wheezing, I grabbed my side and couldn’t even raise my head to look at him. For some reason, today was getting really shitty. Really quick.
While I began to recover, my head whipped up to glare at him. His emotionless façade right now was even annoying me, just how can he keep so calm?! Bull-rushing forward with as much speed as I could muster up, I attempted to grab both of my Brother’s arms and continue the rush to start pushing him through the gravel. Though right when I was about to make contact, his hands shot up and grasped onto my own, forcing my run to a halt. “You’ve either gotten really reckless and weak, or I’m just horribly out classing you right now-“ “SHUT UP!”
I can’t take this anymore. I can’t bear to hear these stupid taunts; all that was on my mind at the moment was his demise. But soon a familiar flame ignited on both of his hands – Dragon Flame technique. “If you aren’t going to step it up, then I’ll just have to finish this,” A numbing sensation washed over my hands and to my forearms. Utilizing all my strength in my legs, I pushed forward, attempting to make him lose balance, only to see he had let go of my hands, and instead leaping over my body, grabbing my wrist now. Once landing behind me, I was pulled off my feet, and my world turned upside down. Landing on the ground with a decent sized crater forming under me, I could only groan at the prickling sensation sent through my back. Probably bleeding a bit now….
Then that odd crackling noise sounded off, and with a quick gaze I knew he had froze my forearms with the cold flame ability of his technique. “Do you see how easy it is to just pretend you’re a ragdoll?.... As if you were nothing but a pathetic Changeling begging for mercy!? That’s how low you are to me whenever I see you!” Suddenly his boot rose off the ground, and went smashing into my face. A sickening crack was audible to myself, most likely caused from a broken nose… He continued though, stomping my face on the ground while my hands laid there frozen.
“Damn…It…” I couldn’t think of what else to say in this type of situation. It was just as it was before, getting horribly outmatched, and just taking the beating. “Hah…. It’s a shame that you went and took Father’s technique. A weakling like you, I wouldn’t be surprised that he would want to disown you, you pathetic shell of a Saiyan!” That fury peaked up once again, and brought a second wind to my fallen body. I brought both hands up to guard from his merciless stomps, and effectively had his foot smash right into the ice.
Luckily the force he was carrying with it completely freed my hands from these cold restraints. And with the somewhat surprised look on his face, and temporary surprise, at least that’s what it looked like, I grabbed onto his feet with both hands, and pulled him to the side, lifting him completely off his feet and face smashing right into the ground. “Hurts don’t it!?” I pushed myself off the ground and stood in a exasperated stance. The rain poured down my face as well as blood from my broken nose. He stood up with ease, and simply ran a hand through his hair, in a rather bored manner, as if this were getting a bit tedious, like a chore….
Energy flew through my body as I felt the Ki transferring throughout my limbs, primarily to my right fist with a look of sheer determination on my face. I was going to end this, no matter what. Energy burned its way through my fingers as it formed an orb in my right hand, left hand cupping over it with a grim look on my visage. He wasn’t really taking much notice to it though, till he noticed a smile growing on my face. He didn’t like that! Both of us charging our technique’s, but I wasn’t going to go down with out a good hit!
My right hand pushing forward, sending a surge of Ki from my fist in the shape of a beam, and Auru shooting off his ki in a beam as well, but I was making sure that I was gonna win! After the collision, I started to move forward, pumping more Ki inside the beam. From the pressure the beam was giving me, I’m assumed that he was doing the same thing. A huge sphere of Ki formed between them, with static energy flowing in the air. “Ahhh!” Roaring with energy, I still attempted to win this little exchange, but sadly, a boom occurred.
Both of us were overwhelmed by the energy, and pushed back, I couldn’t do anything but fall onto my back and grimace. The pain was washing over me, my eyesight becoming full of the inviting darkness. But I was brought back to reality with a knee to my stomach. “AHHH!” My natural response – pitiful but it was still normal, after all I was suffocating with his knee lodged into my stomach. Gasping for air, I grabbed his leg and tried to push him off. He leaped off of me, and stood right next to me while I grabbed my sides and tried to regulate my breathing.
He reached down, grabbing my shoulder and leg and threw me in the air, catching me once again. “What?...Is this all you’re capable of!?” He yelled to me as I groaned, before he started to pull in separate directions, his right hand grabbing my upper back, and his left grabbing my lower back. My screams were probably heard to the town, and ironically, a bolt of lightning struck down just as I felt the pain reaching its pinnacle, screams going as loud as they could. It felt as if my back was being snapped right then and there….
But then it stopped, and I was dropped. From the feeling of things I could still move by body. But slowly I felt my consciousness slipping. Until he gave me that one final push, “I didn’t think my own Kin would be so weak, a disgrace to Saiyans, a disgrace to my entire family!” I honestly felt like I could destroy him right now. My body had felt like all energy was lost, my hope for losing him though was completely gone though… Pushing himself up somehow, he felt that nothing was really at stake at this point, crippled, pride broken, what did he really have to lose?
My body was moving on its own anyway. I felt that his conscious was slowly becoming less enraged and now, it was just becoming eager to get back into the fight. Though my mind had no part in this, I ran to his brother, sending a left hook to his face. Just as he dodged, I lifted my right leg up and sent my kneecap right into his left side, forcing him to fall right into the ground. “Your attacks…” I was already in front of him, once he stood back up, sending my right fist right into his stomach and forcing him to double over. “They’re… They’re becoming a lot less heavier…” What did he mean.. I kept thinking this once I started pounding my fist into his chin.
Leaping back I let him stand back up with some blood dripping down the corner of his mouth.”You’re not carrying that burden… One where you just search for power – when you don’t need to make all of it to overflow you right now!” A grin was on his face before he suddenly vanished, After-Image technique?! Suddenly he appeared right in front of me, and sent his foot right into my temple, effectively, and completely knocking me out.
I woke up a few hours later, the sky completely clear, my body not aching as much, but still it was bearable. I honestly felt rather dumb at the moment, can’t believe I hadn’t noticed that myself with all those signs… “I guess I’ll have to thank him one day…” My eyes closed while I took another good rest, I suppose it was a good time to sleep…
Original writing change once again
After the fight, Bato simply went back to the city, spending the rest of his days training, but simply for the fun of the sport, and should it come to that point, defend his life. Currently that was what mattered really, living doing what he wanted to do, and trying to perfect his father’s fighting powers. While doing his training lead him to hear about the upcoming King Vegeta tournament, which he soon will be participating in, on the day of the tournament, he went into the tournament arena once being alerted by telepathy, waiting for the whole thing to kick off.
