We last left Kabit fleeing Earth and heading to Namek leaving just before Earth exploded. He spent time on Namek with Matthew in the refugee villages continuing his training before one day a powerful Saiyan appeared calling himself Gozu and transmitted them all back to Earth.
Kabit spent a couple more months on Earth not so much training but learning about Humans and just walking among them. What surprised him the most was their compassion for each other. With their home back the Humans were extremely helpful towards one another. This went totally against Kabit's ideals that they were too inferior for such compassion.
After observing from for those couple of months Kabit said goodbye to Matthew and went back to Namek to observe and live among them. And what he found was village after village of kind people just trying to make it through life as best they could. Being a Kai he as granted access to see Guru and he spent many hours talking to him. Kabit spent 6 months on Namek.
The remanning 2 years a couple of months were spent in much the same fashion. Kabit would go to a planet and live amongst it's inhabitants for as long as he felt he needed. And what he found on every planet were people willing to help and care for each other. Sure on Icer and Vegeta he really wasn't welcome but they cared for their own well enough. And Kabit began to feel his ideals shift slightly they were sentient beings after all...who was he to say how they should live?
Kabit thought long and hard about this. What's more important peace or freedom? The Kais could take over and force peace. But what is peace without freedom?...nothing.
The Supreme Kai had been carefully watching Kabit and his progress and thought he might finally get it. So he sent a Kai to pick up Kabit and bring him back for an interview.
This is where we pick up again the story of the young proud Kai will his exiled assignment finally be through or does he need more time to figure it out?
