He focused his mind on his targets and surged power through his frame. He felt all his energy disappear from his mind and a feeling of minor exhaustion flow over him.

He took a deep breath and looked over at his targets. The group had ceased moving entirely. he gave a loud chuckle at seeing their bewildered looks.

He walked over to the group casually as they began to retain their ability to move. "Sorry, guys. I wanted to work on my technique and I needed some unsuspecting targets. No harm done, eh?"

The grumbled at him, except for the teacher of the group, who winked at Oryan. She didn't seem to have a problem with his methods. He chuckled again as he went back to the book.

He flipped through the pages once again, this time making sure that he didn't skip any pages in case they might be stuck together. He notes each page number as he passes by several techniques that he already knows.

Oryan quickly halts his turning of the pages as he feels an immense power surge on the other side of the planet. WHAT IS THIS!?!? It's going to shake the world apart. He things as the ground begins to shake and the wind picks up.

Then everything suddenly returns to the way it was before. How? That power was as strong as his....maybe stronger. Who is this fighter that can reach such strength? He thinks as he has to shift through the pages to relocate his place.

He finally makes it back to the page in the book that contains knowledge on the technique he's wanting to learn. Here it is again...the Vanishing Ball. A technique to fire an invisible blast of energy.

Let's see... In a manner similar to the forgery technique, you must visualize the final form of the energy as you gather it into a ball. Making the ball invisible in your mind just as you shaped your creations in your mind with the forgery technique.

He closes the book with a smirk on his face. This kind of technique will be an excellent addition to my arsenal. I may be able to apply it in many different ways than just those explained in the book, too.

He walks a short distance away from the book and points his hand diagonally towards the sky. He didn't want to hit anyone nearby when he fired of his blast.

The book said that the blast wouldn't become invisible until after it's lost its link with its creator. So I'll have to fire it off to see if my attempt was successful or not. He thinks as he opens his palm and begins placing energy at that point.

The ball slowly began to form and Oryan closed his. He envisioned in his mind a glass orb. Completely transparent. This particular glass orb didn't reflect or refract light. Not really a quality that actual glass had, but this was Kai magic.

The ball finished forming and he fired it from his hand, "Hmph!" He gave a strong outward breath with his nose as he released the built up energy.

The ball looked more like a glass orb than he intended. It didn't just look like one, actually. It fell to the ground and smashed into pieces. He'd apparently focused on the glass aspect too much.

Crap. That sucked. Hhmmm...maybe it's not the glass I need to focus on, but just the aspect of transparency. That should be enough.

Now let's get it right this time. This technique should be simple enough. I mean, come on. I can create objects that are permanent and solid. Making an energy blast invisible shouldn't be too hard.

He begins to gather energy in his palm once again, forming it into a small sphere as he'd done before. Forming the energy itself is easy. It seems that changing the image of the energy isn't.

He then starts to focus on the idea of transparency as he molds the energy with his mind. The sphere maintains its shape, but it flickers out of view for a moment.

Oryan opens his eyes and stares at the blast. When he noticed it flicker out for a moment he smirked. Alright, looks like I've got this down. I'll do a couple of practice shots to make sure though.

He had a triumphant look on his face as he thrust his palm upward a bit and fired off his energy blast. Just as he'd hoped, it disappeared from sight. "Alright!"

He quickly moved both hands so that they were pointing to the sky with palms opened. He formed balls of energy in each hand as he focused on the idea of transparency.

He fired the both off and smiled as he used his mastery of ki control to slam them into one another and create an explosion above the group of five that he'd practiced Mind Bind on before.

Now I distinctly remember it saying that you could make larger balls of energy invisible as well, but it took more energy to make the ball and a bit more focus to make it invisible since there's more to make invisible.

Oryan kept one arm up towards the sky and let his other arm fall back to his side. A small orb of energy suddenly formed in his open palm as he prepared to try a stronger version of the Vanishing Ball.

The ball at the end of his arm began to expand as he continued to surge his energy to that point. This will be easy. And then when I get into a fight I'll be able to see just how effective this is.

Just making a simple invisible ball of energy isn't enough. I need to be able to do a few special things with this power. It could definitely be an excellent tool.

As the ball of energy that had formed in his hand reached a size that he thought fitting for practice, Oryan started to focus on that same aspect of transparency in his mind that he had with his previous attempts.

The ball flickered out of sight for a moment, but it didn't completely disappear this time. Oryan wasn't worried about it too much, though, and launched the ball into the air.

As the ball left his hand, it began to fade out of sight. It didn't make it all the way, though. Instead it looked partially ethereal as opposed to completely invisible.
